Mission Statement

Lakeland Christian Academy exists to provide a biblically-centered education environment so that its students may be equipped to become Christ-honoring members of their families, churches, and communities.

Statement of Faith

We believe in the Scriptures of the Old and New Testament as verbally inspired of God, inerrant in the original writing, and of supreme and final authority in faith and life. (2 Tim. 3:15-16; 2 Pet. 1:21)

We believe there is one God, eternally existing in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. (Gen. 1:1; John 10:30, 37-38)

We believe in the deity of Jesus Christ, in His virgin birth, in His sinless life, in His miracles, in His vicarious and atoning death, in His bodily resurrection, in His Lordship over all of life, and in His personal and imminent return. (John 10:33; Is. 7:14; Matt. 1:23; Luke 1:35; Heb. 4:15, 7:26; John 2:11; 1 Cor. 15:3; Eph. 1:7; Heb. 2:9; John 11:25; 1 Cor. 15:4; Acts 1:11; Rev. 19:11)

We believe that the Holy Spirit’s ministry includes conviction of sin, and the regeneration, indwelling and filling of believers, enabling them to live the Christian life. (Rom. 3:19, 23; John 3:16-19, 5:24; Eph. 2:8-10; Titus 3:5, 6; Eph. 5:18; 1 Cor. 3:16, 6:19, 20)

We believe in man’s direct creation in the image of God, his subsequent fall into sin resulting in spiritual death, and the necessity of the new birth for his salvation. (Gen. 1:26-28, 5:1-2; John 3:16-19; Rom. 3;23, 5:8, 9)

We believe that salvation is complete and eternal, by God’s grace alone, received as the gift of God through personal faith in the Lord Jesus Christ and His finished work. (Eph. 2:9-10; Titus 3:5)

We believe in the resurrection of both the saved and lost; they that are saved unto the resurrection of eternal life, and they that are lost unto the resurrection of eternal damnation. (John 5:28, 29)

We believe in the spiritual unity of born-again believers in one true Church, the Body of Christ, and in the organization of its members in local churches (Rom. 8:9; 1 Cor. 12:12-13; Gal. 3:26-28)

What makes Lakeland Christian Academy Unique?

Lakeland Christian Academy works with each student academically, as well as spiritually. All LCA faculty members are professing Christians and hold either bachelor’s degrees or higher. All Board members and employees are professing born-again believers.

Lakeland receives no monetary assistance from the federal or state governments for its operational expenses. All monies used for the operation of the school are received from student tuition, monetary gifts, and grants.

Students are expected to follow an established set of guidelines for the purpose of training and discipline. These guidelines include standards for personal behavior and dress. Students are expected to show respect for each other and for those in authority. The adopted dress standard is designed to teach students acceptable standards of modesty and decorum.

When working with students, LCA seeks to find the source of a problem rather than merely treating the symptoms. This is done by personal concern in solving problems, working closely with parents, and by seeking God’s wisdom.

LCA believes that each student is a unique individual, created in God’s image, for the purpose of glorifying God. Lakeland’s goal is to help students develop their abilities to fulfill that purpose.

Lakeland Christian Academy believes that, by the cooperative effort of the home, church, and school, each student is better able to achieve his/her full potential. These three entities: home, church, and school are necessary to prepare the student with security, spiritual development, and academic growth.

All Lakeland families are expected to regularly attend a local Bible-believing church. LCA students are also expected to regularly attend Sunday School and church youth activities and/or have some ministry within their church, when possible.

Lakeland Christian Academy believes that God has given parents the responsibility to teach and train their children. LCA assists parents by working closely with them in this process.
