**
The total cost of educating an LCA student is $6,300 per year. LCA is providing an opportunity for parents who are able financially to voluntarily give a charitable contribution in a systematic way to make up the difference between tuition and the cost of education your child. If you would like to participate, simply choose an amount up to $1000 ($6300 - $5300 = $1000) and enter that amount in Column B, "Adopt a Student/Gift" on the Financial Contract. That amount in Column B is considered a charitable gift and you will receive a charitable contribution receipt at the end of the calendar year. This is a voluntary contribution and will not affect admission decisions.

Financial Payment Policies

1.  Before students may attend classes, all payments schedules (except annual) require the signing of a
financial contract by the person or persons legally responsible for the student(s).
2.  Tuition payments not received by the 1st of the month in which the payment is due, will be charged an
      additional $10.00 late fee.
3.  Checks or electronic transfers, returned for insufficient funds, will result in an ISF charge of $20 per
     occurrence.
4.  When a student withdraws from LCA, all tuition payments (according to the tuition contract) are
prorated through the date of withdrawal and must be paid in full.
5.  No student with a past due account will be re-admitted to LCA for the following year until the previous year’s
     financial obligations have been met.
6.  Student records and diplomas will not be released until all financial obligations to LCA have been met.
(Special note to those on 12-month payment plan: Families with graduating seniors must have all tuition
     and fees paid before graduation.)
7.  Tuition payments which are one month past due will result in the following action:

a.  The bookkeeper will notify the parents of the overdue account.
      b.  Parents will be given until the 15th of that month to bring the account current.
FOR EXAMPLE: If the April 1 payment is not received by May 1, the parents/guardians are notified by
the bookkeeper. The past due payment must be paid by May 15th or financial suspension begins.
      c.
A student whose tuition payment (including all associated fees) is still past due after this time (see B.
above) will be placed on Financial Suspension and will not be allowed to attend classes or participate in
extracurricular activities. This absence will be considered excused, and make-up work will be allowed.

d. Financial Suspension will be in effect for no longer than two weeks. If the student’s account has not been
made current by the end of that time (2 months past due), the parents will be asked to withdraw their
          child(ren) from the school.
8.  Students whose financial contracts have not been signed by September 1 will be placed on suspension.

Financial Assistance

Financial assistance is available to families who qualify.  The LCA Board as a service grants financial aid to LCA families.  The Board determines the amount of financial aid that will be granted during the budgeting process.  The money granted in financial aid is supported and must be raised through gifts to the general fund.

The amount of tuition assistance granted to a family is determined by the following factors:
            1.  Application meets the submission date deadline of April 25th for current families.

            2.  The number of families that apply.

         3.  Students must be classified as full time.
* Financial assistance is for tuition only- additional fees do not apply.

If a family disagrees with the determination of either company, they may apply to the other company for verification.  If, after the determinations of both companies have been received, parents may appeal to the Financial Aid committee by letter if there are extenuating financial circumstances to be considered.

Late applications will jeopardize awarding of assistance.  The amount of financial aid will be determined by LCA in June 2008.

Applicants for financial assistance are considered without regard to race, color, sex, national or ethnic origin.

Families have the option of choosing between two services to submit their financial information. These services assist schools in assessing a family’s financial need and helps to maintain third party confidentiality. A family may use either one of these companies.  If you have children enrolling at Warsaw Christian School and Lakeland Christian Academy you only need to fill out one form at either company for both schools.

You may pick up your FFNA and TADS forms in the school office or go online to:  FFNA1.com or Tuitionaid.com
