1st GRADE

First grade is full of opportunities for students to discover and develop the many different talents that God has given us. Education in first grade fosters an appreciation for literature and an interest in reading and writing for enjoyment. Our experienced teacher is equipped to help your child read at a pace that is both developmentally and academically appropriate. The curriculum includes STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math) projects, Social Studies, Math, Music, Art, PE, Media Lab, Science, and Bible. The school’s mathematics program focuses on understanding the “how,” “when,” and “why” of mathematical applications as new concepts are presented. Students will gain an understanding of who God is and live out His teachings by loving our neighbors and sharing God's word with them.
